At Comprehensive Technology Company (CompTech), we are passionate about embracing the same essential Technology Principles across our entire portfolio of solutions and products, so that we can continuously deliver best in class platforms for our customers. Platforms that are future-proof, as well as engineered and architected for outcomes that are unique and unparalleled when it comes to Modernization, User Experience, Performance, Scalability and Security

The below list of Technology Principles is rooted in our corporate DNA. This list is a genuine reflection of who we are, and is considered the main catalyst for continuous progress in the implementation and delivery of best in class digital platforms.

The list is based on five essential dimensions, with a brief overview about each dimension depicted below:

Open Source

Once upon a time, open source was thought of as free, indie, unsecure software. Those days are over. Open source is now a recognized business model for the delivery of software that adheres to the highest coding standards. Open source now means developer enabled software that opens its source to the world for inspection.

Cloud-Native

Next Generation Platforms and Operating Models that leverage Cloud-Native Architectures that are developed from the ground up, can immediately take advantage of all the inherent advantages of the cloud, including agility, scale, and cost-efficiency. Several factors and facets make up a cloud-native architecture, but three characteristics are key drivers of those cloud benefits:
- A Microservices architecture
- A Containerized Infrastructure
- A CI/CD development framework

Low Code Application Development

Modernized Platforms with Delightful and Omni-Channel User Experience that leverage Low-Code Application Development Platforms can significantly make an impact in terms of time to value and embody the required speed and agility in the delivery of mission critical Digital Services, Customer Journeys and Content Service Solutions. CompTech provides a 360 approach to low code development across world class process centric and content centric platforms. For example, bot centric low code for RPA and Digital Workforces, Process and Journey Centric Low code for building frictionless and omni-channel customer journeys, and document/content centric low code for building standardized document taxonomies and ontologies for Enterprise Knowledge Management, as well as Enterprise Grade Document and Digital Asset Management Systems.

API first

CompTech has been an advocate of open APIs for many years, and this extends to the use of REST-APIs for both consumption and delivery of services. Every new piece of functionality in our products and solutions is created ‘API first’ which means functionality is built from the ground up to be connected, documented, and available throughout all aspects of the digital platforms that we deliver. This approach fully embodies the open nature of CompTech's products and solutions.

NoSQL

Next Generation Platforms with native support for NoSQL can embody the power of massive scalability, simultaneous data structures and metadata flexibility. For example, from a Content Services Platform (CSP) Standpoint, The ability to dynamically change the underlying schema of a CSP is both new and extremely significant. In traditional and legacy based ECM systems, schemas are fixed and require intensive and costly scoping exercises upfront to define and create the schemas necessary for a specific project. If that schema was wrong or needed an amendment, the whole underlying structure of the relational database needed to be changed. The flexibility of NoSQL allows changes to be made to the content schema dynamically, allowing the Content Services Platform to be as agile as the organization it supports. This, combined with the ability to provide multiple views or facets on information and content, creates a key differentiator for next generation CSPs that deploy on NoSQL.
